[com clicks on to see Washu with a purple cloth wrapped around her nose and mouth. Her hair cascading around her. It's obvious she using the cloth that normally holds her hair back as a make shift face mask.]

[slightly muffled]

At first I thought I might be getting sick. I've dodged explosions, mouth parasites and may have come down with a cold... or bronchitis.
But then the smell started.

Rotten eggs means sulfur. Which means either volcanic activity or a pipe of some sort broke. We need to fix this.. Does anyone know how to get the air circulating? Does anyone know where to find the origin of this ?

I wish I had my lab...

This can't be good for anyone if this persists.

I like breathing....

[slight coughing can be heard as she reaches over and clicks off the com]

Unless they know what they are doing, they'll make it worse.

If I could access my lab, I could pinpoint it, and figure out a way to seal the leak. Then it would just be inventing a machine to get rid of the toxin's in then air.

... I really wish we had these chips out.

Unfortunately, I doubt that anyone would remove mine even if I knew where it was. Strife has made it clear that the last time I was here, I was a murdering sociopath.

Oh? You don't seem the type from what I've seen so far.

According to some of the people that come from my world, I will shortly learn the truth about myself and destroy a village and then try to destroy the world.

But if you know about it, then you can stop it from happening and not be what they expect you to be.

Which of course, would alter history for them and possibly create an alternate time line.

If I remember it, Little Washu. From what I've gathered, this place is a dream when you return home.

A dream? Not even I could think of this as a dream...

What about the ones that return and remember being here before?

Maybe they were already dead in their world. Or maybe that rule only works if you stay in your home world. Having not the chance to try it, I would not know.

Hm.. It's something to ponder about. We should question the ones that went home and were brought back at some point.

That just means you're in the category that doesn't remember.Apparently, according to Mona, I was here once before myself. I am unaware of this. So we're both in that category.

This just means we need to find someone it the other category. Someone that does remember being here, going home and then being brought back.

That would just leave us asking around to find a few such people.

Hopefully, they would be willing to talk. However, that should wait until after this latest crisis. Something needs to be done. Something, that won't result in a giant fire ball.

With our luck, someone would light a match just to see what the fuss is about. Shiva, there are a lot of dumb people out there.

I agree. An exploding satelite is one thing. A giant mushroom cloud of fire is another.

Though, it would clear out the gas....And destroy everything else.

....I hope not one's "smart" enough to think of that.

From: [identity profile] withoutawing.livejournal.com
I did think of that but then the cloud spread too far over this place and I knew that it would be rather stupid.

Although it would help with clearing out nests of monsters, and give us a more level field to rebuild from.

Yes, but we would need to evacuate people from the city to safely do it. I'm not sure if that's possible.

But... it would be a good way to get rid of everything and start from scratch. But I'd rather do something like that when it's not winter.

Summer would be better, I agree. Easier to move people and keep track of them, but I don't think that they would want to move.

True convincing them would take a bit, but wouldn't they want a safer city to live in? I don't see why no one's thought of cleaning out the threatening monsters before.

We would have to see if that kind of solution is viable, given the state of the people here and the scientists in charge. They may have messures in place to prevent such wide scale damage.

From: [identity profile] madwashu.livejournal.com
I didn't think of that.

If the scientists really want us to rebuild this city, then I don't see why they would have a problem with however we decide to make the city habitable.

One would hope that everyone else would agree to a point and decide to form a more cohesive society and help as well.

I fear that many people have different ideas concerning what a society should be like, given the amont of spews from those that call themselves countries.

... They would the biggest problem with setting up a stable society.

What we need is one leader everyone can agree on and depend on. Or perhaps a council of some sort.

Date: 2009-01-25 08:32 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withoutawing.livejournal.com
Perhaps a council would work at first, one made with people who can actually lead and understand the means of survival.

Somehow, it should be done. This mess cannot do anything but prove tiresome and destructive.

From: [identity profile] madwashu.livejournal.com
Then the next step would be introducing the idea to the populace and then to figure out how to create this council. Preferably in a way that the most qualified individuals are on it and no one...antagonistic.
