[com clicks on to see Washu with a purple cloth wrapped around her nose and mouth. Her hair cascading around her. It's obvious she using the cloth that normally holds her hair back as a make shift face mask.]

[slightly muffled]

At first I thought I might be getting sick. I've dodged explosions, mouth parasites and may have come down with a cold... or bronchitis.
But then the smell started.

Rotten eggs means sulfur. Which means either volcanic activity or a pipe of some sort broke. We need to fix this.. Does anyone know how to get the air circulating? Does anyone know where to find the origin of this ?

I wish I had my lab...

This can't be good for anyone if this persists.

I like breathing....

[slight coughing can be heard as she reaches over and clicks off the com]

That would just leave us asking around to find a few such people.

Hopefully, they would be willing to talk. However, that should wait until after this latest crisis. Something needs to be done. Something, that won't result in a giant fire ball.

With our luck, someone would light a match just to see what the fuss is about. Shiva, there are a lot of dumb people out there.

I agree. An exploding satelite is one thing. A giant mushroom cloud of fire is another.

Though, it would clear out the gas....And destroy everything else.

....I hope not one's "smart" enough to think of that.

I did think of that but then the cloud spread too far over this place and I knew that it would be rather stupid.

Although it would help with clearing out nests of monsters, and give us a more level field to rebuild from.

Yes, but we would need to evacuate people from the city to safely do it. I'm not sure if that's possible.

But... it would be a good way to get rid of everything and start from scratch. But I'd rather do something like that when it's not winter.

Summer would be better, I agree. Easier to move people and keep track of them, but I don't think that they would want to move.

True convincing them would take a bit, but wouldn't they want a safer city to live in? I don't see why no one's thought of cleaning out the threatening monsters before.

We would have to see if that kind of solution is viable, given the state of the people here and the scientists in charge. They may have messures in place to prevent such wide scale damage.

I didn't think of that.

If the scientists really want us to rebuild this city, then I don't see why they would have a problem with however we decide to make the city habitable.

One would hope that everyone else would agree to a point and decide to form a more cohesive society and help as well.

I fear that many people have different ideas concerning what a society should be like, given the amont of spews from those that call themselves countries.

... They would the biggest problem with setting up a stable society.

What we need is one leader everyone can agree on and depend on. Or perhaps a council of some sort.

Perhaps a council would work at first, one made with people who can actually lead and understand the means of survival.

Somehow, it should be done. This mess cannot do anything but prove tiresome and destructive.

Then the next step would be introducing the idea to the populace and then to figure out how to create this council. Preferably in a way that the most qualified individuals are on it and no one...antagonistic.

It would have to be at a time when there is no immediate danger to the place. Currently, we have a giant gas cloud growing and sick people to keep track of.

Of course. But movements towards a council need to be started sometime soon. But, agreed, it should be sometime where there isn't a looming threat.

Has anyone gathered the sick in one area so they can be kept track of for treatment purposes? And depending on the ailment, quarantine?

I highly doubt it. There are some that have been gathering together at the clinic but most sound as if they are willing to stay in their rooms instead of going out. Understandable given that monsters will prey on the weak but those without chips could guard them.

Then we should see if the one's with out chips are willing to be escorts, or even people with fighting skills.

Anyone with oxygen tanks should congregate at the clinic as well to share the oxygen with those that need it.

I doubt that the clinic can handle every one can it? Perhaps the building can be turned into a shelter for those in the worst condition that need help. Those that have passed out or can't handle it....like children. This can't be good for the children.

I can fight and this air doesn't bother me as much as it does others, however I still have my chip. I think getting a few more together and making sure they are all in one place would be the best idea. It would be easier to defend and easier to handle.

That is what I was thinking. It is one of the larger buidlings in this place.

Alright then. That sounds like an excellent idea. Start talking to people and trying to convince them that it is for the best. Hopefully you can get a hold of some oxygen tanks somewhere for those who need it. The clinic must be over flowing by now...
