 The powers out.

There has to be a scientific explanation as to why these apparitions are appearing. I do not appreciate some other worldly creature crawling out of my sink.

[there are sounds of water splashing and then the sound water going down a drain.]

Even I have to admit this is more than a little unnerving...

Or attempting to crawl out of my bathroom mirror.

[sounds of a door shutting.]

At this rate I won't get any further work done.

At least I had enough of my own equipment to keep the lab lighted. The pneumatic machine is totally off line though. I've got nothing to power any of my air or electric tools...

But hey, the coffee maker was battery operated, turns out. Small blessings.

I have the light coming off the street and so far it seems the only things still working mechanically are A and B. I suppose this is a good hint to stop huddling over machinery and take a break.

...scratch that, it just went out.

I'm officially freaked out. That was an unused battery.

I'm going to build myself a gun that can shoot ectoplasmatic beings. Be right back.

Frequency adjustment.

Date: 2009-04-26 05:01 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com
To simplify the equation: there are numerous planes of existence, each set on a different frequency. Some of these planes' frequencies are too zetta high or too low 4 us to detect. Trans-planar communication and travel is possible from higher planes by adjusting one's vibe and tuning into the correct frequency.

Date: 2009-04-26 05:23 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madwashu.livejournal.com
I never thought of that. Going with that line of reasoning, these "Ghosts" are beings from a higher plane that are attempting to adjust their frequency to ours and communicate and/or travel here.

If that's the case, then why are they doing that? From what I've witnessed in my own apartment, they are most likely not friendly, unless crawling out of a mirror or sink and turning the water black is friendly for them.

It seems the most probable. Yes, they beings that have died on this plane, but continue to exist on another. I have several possible solutions, as this is not the first time such has factored out. It usually preceeds an even larger function. It may be a warning ... OR it may be involuntary. Zetta typically, adjusting one's frequency should take several minutes, not days.

From: [identity profile] madwashu.livejournal.com
What if it's not just one frequency they have to adjust? There could be variables we don't know about yet. That may explain why it's taking days, not minutes.

The greater the distance between frequencies, the more difficult it is. This applies to digits with > power. However, it shouldn't effect the function of time that much. ...Of course, there are always undefined variables. I am merely trying to define as many as zetta possible with my current knowledge and past experiences. It's certainy 3 x more productive than subtracting my wits.

... There is also a possibility they are from a lower plane and must be refined

Agreed, sounding out theories is more productive than sitting around in the dark.

However, I doubt they are from a lower plane of existence. They seem to have some ability to communicate with us and have been trying..

Of course, what if this is a plane of existence that is simply out of phase with ours? If that were the case, then possibly this slow process of integrating themselves into our dimension may need to happen slowly or it could throw everything off.

They seem to be getting... more visible. And more insistent.

I have both traveled planes and refined myself, so sitting around and doing |Ø| would be, 4 the most part, zetta unthinkable.

Yeah, it's highly improbable, but I figured I might as well cover all possible bases anyway.

Hmm, that is possible. I can't say I know much about the planes of this set, considering I've derived these current solutions with from the planes of my previous coordinates. Planes are usually stacked parallel to each other, but perhaps ... this one has transformed from its initial position.

Of course they are. Their vibes are becoming more in tune with our plane's frequency.

Oh~? Different dimensions and planes of existence are still theories where I'm from. I have yet to invent a device that would allow me to cross from one to another just yet nor prove or disprove said theories.

l-lol, sorry for the TL;DR.

Date: 2009-04-26 11:38 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com
My previous coordinates consisted of 5 prominent planes, three of which--in ascending order: the Realground, the Noise Zone, and Underground--existed within the precinct of Shibuya itself; however, Shibuya was not unique in its several planes. After death on the Realground, you are recoded to exist in the Underground ... well, if you should choose to play the Game. Only radians on the Realground with extrasensory perception are able to detect the Underground whilst still alive.

So zetta few, relatively speaking, actually have concrete evidence of the numerous planes of existence and is nothing > a theory within the Realground.

That sounds like it would be interesting to study.

What is this game you mentioned?

From: [identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com
Even > interesting to live in.

The Shinigami Game or Reaper's Game--either title works--is a survival game 4 one's life. After t = 7 days, and you haven't been erased, there's the possibility of being reincarnated to the Realground or becoming one of the Shinigami who administer the function, among other solutions. Players cannot freely travel planes.

It sounds like a more dangerous version of tag.

How often to players win the game?

Date: 2009-04-27 06:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com
Somewhat. The GM sends out missions 2 the players, and if P > 0 by Day 7, they must subtract the GM.

There is an average = 550 per Game. 1 pact = 2 players. By Day 7, zetta typically 1 pact remains. The average percentage of wins is roughly 34%.

Date: 2009-04-28 01:04 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] madwashu.livejournal.com
For a game of that size, that's a low average percentage.

How do the players go about winning this game?

Date: 2009-04-28 01:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] whatthefactor.livejournal.com
Well, of course.

Completing daily missions, avoiding erasure by Noise, and finally defeating the GM. Ultimately, it zetta depends on how well a pact can work 2gether.
