[A minute after the clock strikes twelve in the city of Discedo, every single light in the city that isn't broken flares to life, lighting up every building and street. There's a few moments silence before Washu finally speaks.]
Happy New Year.
Happy New Year.

Date: 2012-01-02 04:40 am (UTC)First lets start with defining what electricity is. It is a phenomenon that can either be artificially or naturally created in which an electrical charge is produced.
The most recognizable of the phenomenon happens to be lightening or even static electricity. Artificially it is a current being generated through a conductive material used to power an item such as a lightbulb, toaster or television.
Or if you're not familiar with those~. It's what makes the communicators work.
Any questions so far?

Date: 2012-01-03 04:17 am (UTC)When I repaired the turbines in the power plant, I created generators capable of producing large amounts of electrical potential. That potential travels down the conductive connections to every apartment or street lap or whatever outlet. There it is waiting for the circuit to be completed by another component.
For instance, lets take a toaster. When you put the pronged plug into an outlet, you give the current a path to travel. It goes into the toaster and is directed to the heating coils where it warms up and cooks whatever you put in the toaster.
The connection is broken when you unplug the device or turn it off.

Date: 2012-01-01 11:57 pm (UTC)So bright!
Re: [Video]
Date: 2012-01-02 12:11 am (UTC)Of course, electricity tends to do that to lights.
Re: [Video]
Date: 2012-01-02 12:23 am (UTC)But it's too bright now!
[At least Flandre thinks so for the next thirty seconds.
The white rabbit hopping up onto blanket mountain to investigate the noise thinks you are silly, Flandre. It has its ears turned toward the communicator like satellite dishes--while its nose twitches in what might be a disapproving manner. Maybe.]

Date: 2012-01-02 12:56 am (UTC)But I like the dark!
[Well when one has their very own flashlights for eyes suddenly total darkness isn't such a big deal!
Sucks to be without, though.]

That tickles!

Date: 2012-01-02 04:45 am (UTC)It'll get in my eyes!
[Eventually it does pan around enough to see the device properly--revealing two very red eyes. Little else for now, except a few bits of a face highlighted by their glow.]

Date: 2012-01-03 04:27 am (UTC)Sorry, I have a bad habit of switching languages sometimes. But yes! If only we some decent rice baijiu like the ones they left during October. Then again, when I ate the chocolate, I felt much better, aru!

Don't worry about it~. I am afraid that my grasp on Earth languages is a little rusty, but it's translatable.
For celebration~, I think I mite have a little sake around here, that chocolate and perhaps whatever else we find ay be celebratory enough for me.
