Experiment...15 [Accidental Video]

[For once, Washu doesn't seem to notice or care that the com is on. In fact, she's seemingly gazing off at some fixed point on the wall while a hand toys with a seed, a decent size seed, something that would grow say a tree if it were planted.

Eventually she turns away from her fixed point and glances towards the com. Seeing that its on, she  pauses what she's doing and leans in.]

This.. should be the time of year to spend with friends and family. Not be stuck here in the middle of some annoying mess of an experiment. Though, I have to admit, whoever designed the experiment was both a genius and an idiot.

[She pauses before tightening a hand around the seed.]

I think if anyone needs me, I'll be in the hospital.

[ The return comm is interspersed with the shadows of infrequent static, as if the sending transmission has poor signal or the equipment is damaged. The face that flickers into view is hard-chiseled, lean... and unhealthily wan, as if from illness or bloodloss. Alex thins his lips, visibly hesitating, before beginning. ]

More... more to the point, how does one navigate to the... the hospital? It's... everything here is a ruin.

If friends and family were here, then it would be all year around. However, many of us lack that here.

[She pauses for a moment.]

[He knows he's in danger of being lectured over something he now suspects, but anything was better than silence. His voice gives away that he's practically dragging the words out of his own mouth.]

It takes talent to come up with something like this and planning and a genius level of intellect and understanding of science. Especially in the realms of astrophysics and quantum dynamics among other principals.

If you want~. I could explain it to you in detail, but I would imagine most of it would go over your head.

You're wrong there. Magic does too exist- I've seen it. Felt it. [Though not here. And what good was that, to have a memory farther away than it had been in England? He sighs heavily.]

But can you measure it? Can you conduct legitimate scientific tests on it? I refuse to believe in something until I have proof.

What would count as proof for you? I can't- well, some things you just have to have faith in.
