Experiment 77 [Accidental Video]
[Well here's an interesting sight, Washu asleep in a bed that's definitely not in her office or her lab. There are clothes thrown on a chair near the bed, some of them very much hers. Upon further examination, the only thing keeping her modest are the covers. Who knew Washu could look so peaceful while she was sleeping.
Though, it seems that whoever lives in this apartment is missing. Needless to say, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what happened.
Washu shifts in her sleep, the sheet sliding lower and now barely keeping her modest as she wakes up and notices that she's alone in the bed. For a moment there's an amused smile on her lip before she sits up with her back facing the communicator and wrapping the sheet around her torso. Moments later, Discedo's cutest red-haired mad scientist is wandering past the communicator and calling out for someone still completely unaware that the communicator's recording.]
"Tony~? Where did you get to. It's not nice to let a beautiful woman wake up alone."

[commentlog~]
His voice sounds more distant than annoyed, like he's not even really paying attention.]
Good morning. See something you like?
Re: [commentlog~]
Washu shifts to let him get a better range of motion but still remains peering down at the suit and eventually moving to get a better look.Yes. She does like what she sees. Of course, he's nice too but the suits what has her attention right now.]
Morning. Of course I do or I wouldn't be here. I have to admit, even up close, this suit is a remarkable piece of work.
[commentlog~]
With a frustrated noise he threw the make-shift tool he'd scrounged from somewhere across the room and sat back. He was giving up--for the time being.
He let his gaze shift and finally it fell on Washu.] It could be better.
Re: [commentlog~]
Oh~? Well I suppose that will have to wait. In the mean time, how about a fun little distraction~?
[Moments later a floating holographic computer popped into existence. She turned it towards him and a few buttons later everything was in English. Complex equations were scrolling across the black screen.]
Now, does this make it better? The equations are for my portals. You should feel lucky, not everyone gets to see one of my most guarded secrets. Now the questions is, are you genius enough to figure it out~?
[commentlog~]
He did like this.]
...uh-huh. [The answer was vague and faint, and he was staring hard at he screens with all his concentration focused on the scrolling text. He seemed quite content though all considered. But he was thoroughly caught up now, mind working on over-drive.]
Re: [commentlog~]
As you can see, what they really are equates to nothing more then controlled wormholes connecting point A to point B. Please, feel free to use the computer, I assure you the keys are quite responsive to touch.
[commentlog~]
His hands fell on top of the keys easily.] You act as if you're the only one with holographic engineering at your constant disposal.
Re: [commentlog~]
In my Universe, I am, or at least with holographic technology as extensive as mine anyway. You'll have to excuse me if I attempt to explain something you already know.
It's been quite some time since the last time I was able to talk to someone on my level.
[commentlog~]
I may not be able to drag mine everywhere--yet--but its this extensive. [He typed at the holographic keyboard absently talking as he did so.] My whole lab has the set-up. Jarvis runs it...
Re: [commentlog~]
That was one of the first things I made sure I could do when I created it. My lab is similarly set up at well. Though, I'm curious, how do you power your systems? Mine takes up quite a bit of energy, which really is no surprise with how big it is, but still.
[commentlog~]
[He's quiet for a moment until he decides it can't hurt him for her to know while they're A) stuck here, and B) she's not from his world anyway, and thus C) not likely to tattle on him. Besides, he leaves out the fact that its not just his own company...] The system is connected to my company's network--the entire company, worldwide network. The system at home on basic operations runs on its own personal source but if needed...
[He can tap into the entire world's processing capability. Basically put.]
Re: [commentlog~]
Tony Stark, I have to say that is an impressive set up. My own isn't nearly as elegant.
[commentlog~]
Thanks. [And he grins rather boyishly for a second. Then he goes back to the computer in typical geek-mode.] It took a...while, but it works. Haven't had to use it too much yet...
Re: [commentlog~]
I would imagine not, but still, you managed it. My typical power system isn't nearly as easy to handle. My lab spans three planets back home as you can imagine, the power source has to be carefully managed and not as streamlined as I would wish.
Here, I am my own power source. As you can imagine.. its a little straining.
[commentlog~]
That's... a lot of juice. [...] How much stuff do you have running?
Re: [commentlog~]
That computer for one. My lab for another. Not only power the equipment, but the pocket dimension that it resides in. The portal that connects my lab to my office. As of right now, those are the only things running. I use power every time I open a portal or summon something to use. I can keep everything running and produce unlimited amount of portals for up to three days in this city before I pass out. However, in my world I am able to do much, much more.
[Once more she pauses.]
With age comes power in some cases.
[commentlog~]
You're from another world. [And he leaves it at that.]
...Back home the main powersource is the arc reactor. It powers the entire city of Los Angeles as well as my personal lab and the company base in LA. The arc reactor creates perpetual energy--its design was conceived by my father and... and I built the final working form.
Only a handful know that I can create a smaller, compact version that produces the same--no, more--energy per second than that one.
Re: [commentlog~]
That is how.
[She falls silent for several long moments. She has no worries about anyone duplicating this particular experiment. She had only done it once and any other attempts failed. Horribly.]
That is quite the accomplishment. Especially the compact version.
