I suppose I owe you a thank you, Kureha. Though for the record, you shouldn't chase the ones you rescue around with knives even if there are pass transgressions. Especially when the one you are chasing is me.

Students, I'm way past due on giving you an assignment.

Washu and A watched as Lucca charged B. Moments later the little puppet started twitching before sitting up and looking at them.

[B] Unit B back online.

Washu smiled for a moment as she gently picked up the newly repaired B and set her on the Platform. A took the opportunity to climb up Washu's arm and settle on her shoulder, hiding away in her long hair.

Again Washu pressed a button, repeating the update process. When the light dispelled she asked B the same thing she asked A.

"B, List updates."

B made a face and remained sitting. When she answered, her voice held a hint of anger to it.

Washu frowned at B's tone.

B gave Washu a very annoyed look

[B] How do you think I feel!? You smashed me against the wall while you were in memory land! You technically killed me!

Washu arched an eyebrow slightly, now that wasn't something she was expecting.

A eep'ed and hid deeper in Washu's hair. B was angry. Very angry.

-Lucca got that awkward sinking feeling one usually got while being a captive audience to a family quarrel. She didn't quite know what to say. Sure, she had some ideas, but there was that whole nagging question of whether or not it was her place to interfere.-

Washu was far from pleased with B's outburst.

That is no way to talk to me B. I created you and I can easily destroy you.

The look of annoyance evolved into one of defiance as B stood up and crossed her arms.

You've already done that once Mom .

Washu reached over and snatched up B and pulled her close.

Dont you DARE use that tone with me Daughter

Both of them were starting to very obviously getting angry as Washu started to give off slight sparks as her shield as it reacted to her emotions.

-... Was she SERIOUSLY going to have to play family counselor? Lucca sighed as she moved to place her hands on Washu's shoulder in an easing motion.-

At ease, girl. Let's talk this out, okay?

A small spark flared up at Lucca's touch. Washu frowned as she tried to calm down. Was this what having children was like? How did parent's handle this?

B was still glaring at her as she tried to squirm out of Washu's grasp. A remained out of it.

Alright.

Okay now, I want the both of you to take turns telling your sides of the story. Do not interrupt each other.

Washu merely nodded as she spoke first, cutting off B as she opened her mouth to speak.

We were trapped in my lab by ofuda. Apparently they had an adverse affect on me, causing bad memories to surface.

From what A has told me, they called for help, and got no response from the one they were trying to raise. I will deal with him later. Who they got was the Doctrine. She advised them to try and snap me out of it. Apparently B ended up damaged.

B growled softly as she glared up at her.

Damaged my ass! You literally beat me until I offlined! You were trying to kill me!

What did I say about interruptions!

-She let out a sigh. It really was like dealing with children.-

Now B, it's your turn.

B glared at Washu as she spoke

Like Mom said, we were trapped in her lab and tried calling for help. Kureha answered, not the worthless idiot that we were trying to call like her orders dictated. The good doctor suggested we snap her out of it. So I went and left A manning the com.

Mom decided that I was a good focus to beat out her bad memories with. Literally. She smashed me against the wall multiple times and didn't stop until I was offlined and as dead as we can get.

Hmm...

-Lucca contemplated for a moment, tapping a pen to her cheek-

Sounds to me like you owe B an apology, Washu.

Washu raised an eyebrow at the mentioning of an apology.

After the way B's acted, I believe she owes me one as well.

We'll cross that bridge when we get to it. She might feel more inclined to admit to her mistakes if her role model can do the same, Washu. That makes sense to you, correct?

Well, when she put it that way, fine.

"Fine then. I'm sorry B for causing you harm."

B crossed her arms and turned her back on her "role model."

Good.

No no no, B, that's now what mature people do. Graciously accept her apology and offer her one of your own.

B arched an eyebrow, practically mimicing the one Washu had been known to use from time to time.

Maturity and Her? You've got to be kidding me. I accept her apology, that should be good enough.

B, please. Do the grown up thing.

Now it was Washu's turn to raise an eyebrow. Hadn't she already explained that they were in the children's stage of development. She didn't expect maturity from B.

B grumbled for a bit before slowly turning around and glowering at Washu before turning to Lucca.

"I accepted didn't I ?"

The keyword in my statement there was "graciously" accept, little one. Come on, you guys nothing will get done if you have this kind of contempt for each other.

B grumbled as she glared at Washu before sighing and attempted to look sincere. Not that Washu was really buying it, but if it made Lucca happy then, it worked.

"Fine. I graciously accept your apology Mother."

Washu sighed. That was probably the best they were going to get out of B.

"Thank you B."

There, see? Was that so hard? Now we can get back to working together towards a brighter tomorrow, yeah?

-Lucca was satisfied with the results of her counseling. It worked out pretty well and alleviated a lot of her own uncertainties about Metal...-

"I suppose you're right."

She sighed as she picked up B. B didn't protest this time at least. She smiled at her friend.

"Thanks for your help. I really should get back to the hospital now and let you get back to work."

Yeah well, I do what I can, right? -Lucca laughed sheepishly.-

Feel free to come by any time, Washu. You don't even have to need anything.

"Of course, I'll keep that in mind."

A sheepishly waved good by while B went back to pouting as they left.
